Shoreline at Butt Lake

Posted by
LauraS (Chico, United States) on 8 May 2014 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Butt Lake (yeah, that's the name!) is located just west of Lake Almanor. When we had the big fire two summers ago, this lake got a lot of the heat. This is the north end of the lake where fire didn't quite get a grip and as you see, it is lush and green.

Visual learner that I am, I enjoy taking photos, seeing others photos, and sharing them with all of you.
How I view the world may influence others to see more clearly that the world I live in is truly a beautiful and spectacular place. I hope I can share my sense of wonder with others. I see the world in beauty, awe, reverence and wonder.

Truly, I am an amateur who loves to look at my world, marvel at its beauty, diversity, and I capture a slice for myself to remember and share. Surely I get inspired by the work I see from other photographers and it moves me to try new things.

I remember when you posted about the fire. THis is a beautiful and peaceful looking spot.

@Ruthiebear: Thanks, it is just by a day-camping area, and I like it, too. Good fishing spot not too far, either.

Elaine Hancock from Rockville, United States

It has made quite a comeback. The trees are beautiful! What a wonderful place!

@Elaine Hancock: Thanks for your visit. Actually this area was spared from the burn, luckily. I think a will share a couple of burned images coming up, to see the difference. It will take years for them to come back green like this.

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

I hope it stays green and healthy.

@Steve Rice: Thanks, Steve.
