Walking on the beachPosted by LauraS (Chico, United States) on 24 February 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Walking on the beach...made this a black and white to keep it simple. Visual learner that I am, I enjoy taking photographs, seeing others photos, and sharing them all. How we view the world may influence others to see more clearly that the world we live in is truly a beautiful and spectacular place. Now, I am using a Panasonic DMC-ZS1. Many of my photos over the last two years have been taken with my Sony DSC-T300. Unfortunately I've broken it. Occasionally, I am using my iPhone, and you will see that listed to the right of the photos. Truly, I am an amateur who loves to look at the world, marvel at its beauty, and capture a slice for myself to remember and to share.

I like (I do not know English, sorry). Thanks for your Laura visit." 24 Feb 2009 7:32am Peter Miller from Lichfield, United KingdomIn mono it works superbly, little contrast but it works better without it. 24 Feb 2009 9:29am Pied Crow from Nairobi, KenyaI agree with Peter this works well despite/because of low contrast. The little silver line of light on the horizon gives nice depth to what otherwise might seem a bit flat. 24 Feb 2009 3:06pm Diane Schuller from Hythe, Canadathe black and white is perfect for this gentle scene. 24 Feb 2009 6:09pm bridget from Western WA, United Statesindeed, sometimes colour is just too distracting - this shot is soothing and calm - i love walks like that with my dog - photos are especially wonderful when they go beyond the aesthetics of the individual shot and evoke memories and emotions in the viewer - thank you! 25 Feb 2009 2:05am amy from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaVERY nicely done, Laura!! Keeping it simple was indeed the right choice ;-) 25 Feb 2009 3:02am |
